Young Professional Awards

The NAHB Young Professional Awards recognize young building industry professionals under the age of 45 who propel their careers forward, advance in all three levels of the NAHB Federation, advocate for the home building industry, engage with their peers, and establish themselves as exceptional members of their communities.

The winners of this award represent the future of the industry and will set new standards for the support and growth of home building. They are valuable assets in their communities and are moving the home building industry forward.

By developing -- and recognizing -- future leaders, we are laying the foundation for the industry to continue to innovate, grow and inspire future generations of NAHB members. Show us how you are making strides!

Partnership with MANUAL

Men’s health -- and especially men’s mental health -- is a serious public health challenge. Harvard University reports that the gender gap in American life expectancy is about five years: 76 for men compared to 81 for women. Plus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide rates for men are approximately four times higher than rates for women, and construction has the second highest suicide rate among all industry groups.

NAHB is proud to partner with MANUAL, one organization tackling the mental health crisis by creating evidence-based content built for men.

The content MANUAL provides ranges from livestreams on financial planning to 24/7, anonymous, 1-on-1 chats with bilingual health experts. The programming will be available through MANUAL’s digital platform and social media channels.

NAHB Young Professionals can sign up for MANUAL at no cost.

Leadership Development Opportunities

NAHB is dedicated to discovering and developing volunteer leaders at all levels of the Federation, creating a strong benchmark that supports the future of the home building industry.

Register for IBS

The NAHB International Builders’ Show is the premier event for the residential construction industry -- with everything from products to education to networking all under one roof.

“I was able to network with like-minded individuals experiencing similar situations across the country,” said Jesse Brown of Franklin Door & Trim. “In addition, IBS allowed for the education of diverse practices and products that can better position my young company to succeed in our local market. I would recommend any young person in the residential construction field to seek out the knowledge and experience offered at IBS.”
