6 West is a new development of 120 apartment units located in Edwards, Colo. The project is a series of nine buildings laid out on a sloping site at the bottom a mountain valley. The project comprises one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments all completed with systems-built modular construction. All living units were fabricated off-site in a factory, shipped on-site and erected together on top of a site-built foundation. This process, which 359 Design is now using extensively, reduces construction costs and time on-site in mountain environments where building windows are short and labor forces are small, as stated by 359 Design, the architect on record. This project totaled 202 modular units and 126,693 square feet.
