The Marriott AC Hotel in Louisville, Ky., is a truly cosmopolitan hotel with an urban vibe. It is custom made for those seeking a new way to understand, live and feel the city. Nestled in the in the up-and-coming NuLu (New Louisville) neighborhood on the east end of Louisville’s downtown area, the AC Hotel is a destination unto itself, with many shops and restaurants just outside the hotel’s front door. The rooms are modern and comfortable, and feature a seating area with a couch to stretch out and relax. A built-in desk is at the ready for the business traveler. This project was built as a hybrid with both modular and conventional construction. The site-built first floor allowed taller ceilings for the back of hotel and reception spaces, and still allowed the project to be built with a traditional slab on grade approach and did not require a crawl space foundation to support the modules.
