NAHB’s Professional Women in Building (PWB) Week takes place Sept. 14-18, 2026, and celebrates women as a vital part of the residential construction industry. Join NAHB for a week of inspiring content, including Shop Talks, blog posts and social media shout-outs that showcase the achievements of women across all areas of the industry, as well as our combined efforts to promote, train, advance and recruit more women into the field.

Each day of PWB Week highlights a different focus:

Monday, Sept. 14 – Supporting the Next Generation

Advice on how to support the next generation of women in residential construction, including a special blog post featuring PWB Leadership Grant recipient Nora Spencer.

Tuesday, Sept. 15 – Celebrating Women in the Trades

Join our Shop Talk, Women Driving Leadership, Innovation & Growth in Residential Construction, at 1 p.m. ET. Industry leaders will share real-world insights on business growth, leadership, talent development and workforce development. Discover strategies and lessons you can use to strengthen your business, lead high-performing teams and help build a stronger future for the residential construction industry.

Wednesday, Sept. 16 – By the Numbers: Women in Building

NAHB economist Na Zhao takes a deeper look at women’s growing presence in the industry.

Thursday, Sept. 17 – The Importance of Diversifying the Industry

Join our Shop Talk, Radical Kindness: A Leadership Strategy for Building High-Performing Teams, at 1 p.m. ET. Heather Teskey, VP of Marketing at Andersen Windows, will share how radical kindness has shaped her leadership journey, from making tough decisions and navigating difficult conversations to building a people-first culture. Discover practical ways to lead with empathy while maintaining accountability, high standards and a focus on results, even when challenges arise or leaders fall short. 

Friday, Sept. 18 – Shout Out PWB on Social Media
