The rapid integration of artificial intelligence, smart technology and innovative building products will increasingly transform the residential construction industry. Understanding how to leverage these trends will be critical for builders, remodelers and suppliers to stay competitive.

Those who will be arriving early to this year’s Builders’ Show for leadership meetings and pre-show education are invited to learn more about new technologies in home building during a special presentation from the NAHB Leading Suppliers Council (LSC).

On Sunday, Feb. 23, beginning at 10 a.m. PT, the “LSC Talks” session will feature three industry leaders who will present on several key topics, including:

  • Transform Builds with AI: From Pre-build Collaboration to Handoff and Warranty
Ryan Fink, CEO and co-founder of Digs, will discuss how builders are using AI-powered solutions to elevate every phase of the home building journey. Fink will share new methods to improve the client experience, transform pre-construction, and streamline handoff and warranty processes to save time, cut costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Building Smarter, Living Better: Smart Homes for Modern Home Owners
Melissa Andresko, chief corporate brand ambassador for Lutron Electronics, will examine the latest ways smart-home technology is making life more comfortable and efficient for the home owner. She will also share some of the best strategies for builders who want to attract more buyers by incorporating smart technology.
  • Market Conditions are Offering Opportunities to Innovate
Ed Hudson, director of market research at Home Innovation Research LABS, will examine how current challenges in the home building industry—such as high interest rates, labor and lot shortages, regulatory changes, and socioeconomic factors—are influencing the selection of building products. Hudson will then highlight how suppliers can innovate to capitalize on these trends, and which materials and methods builders can implement to lower costs while enhancing durability, sustainability, and energy efficiency.

The LSC Talks session will take place in North 114, Level 1 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The session is open to all members and IBS attendees. RSVPs are not required.
