This briefing will equip you with the essential information and insights needed for a successful day of advocacy. You’ll receive an overview of the key legislative issues, get tips on effective communication with lawmakers and hear from guest speakers. Prepare to engage, inform, and make an impact as we head to the Hill. Light morning refreshments will be provided.

After a productive day of Capitol Hill office visits and meetings, the NAHB Legislative Conference will conclude with an evening reception at the Marriott Marquis. Join us as we celebrate our collective efforts and share experiences from the day.

A wholly owned, independent subsidiary of NAHB, Home Innovation’s mission is to improve building sustainability, energy efficiency, durability and affordability by removing the barriers to innovation in the building products industry. They do that through an integrated suite of third-party research services – Market Research, Product Testing & Certification in our accredited laboratory, and third-party Building Science Research where products are put to test in the field.
Join their experts on a private tour of their newly unveiled state-of-the art fire testing lab. The tour will include transportation to/from the Marriott Marquis DC. The tour itself is expected to last two-hours. Note that this is an active construction lab and you will be on your feet for the tour while navigating their site. Safety equipment will be provided when necessary.

You will hear from NAHB Senior Officers and a panel of experts who will discuss how to maximize your experience attending the leadership meetings, share how their leadership journeys began and how it has affected their business, and will learn best practices for utilizing the meetings as a networking opportunity.
This event is tailored to benefit newly engaged leaders, first-time attendees, young professionals, and new council and committee members, and to support mentorship program participants.

Thursday, June 13 | 9:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. | $130 per person
Cost includes transportation, docent-led private tours and lunch.
Join us as we explore the former home of Marjorie Merriweather Post, former businesswoman, socialite, philanthropist and daughter of C. W. Post, owner of the General Foods corporation. After touring the estate and gardens, the group will have lunch together in the Merriweather café, followed by time to explore the gift shop and the two special exhibitions: Marjorie Merriweather Post’s Paris and Fragile Beauty: Art of the Ocean.
The tour will depart from the Marriott Marquis DC. Final activity details will be emailed a week prior to the activity to registered participants.
