Getting to Palm Springs and Palm Desert

Traveling to Palm Springs is easier than ever thanks to its newly renovated Palm Springs International Airport (PSP), located 12.2 miles from Palm Desert where you will find our host hotel, the JW Marriott Desert Springs. The airport is served by numerous carriers from major cities.

Once you land in Palm Springs, rental cars, taxis and ride sharing options are available to get you to Palm Desert. Expect a 20-30 minute drive from the airport to the hotel depending on traffic conditions.

About the Greater Palm Springs Area

Palm Springs is world renowned for its stylish hotels, great weather and stunning views. It is also famous for many fine examples of midcentury-modern architecture and design that are visible throughout the city. The core-shopping district is on Palm Canyon Drive, featuring vintage boutiques, interior design shops and unique apparel. It is also lined with locally owned restaurants, many with beautiful outdoor dining patios.

Palm Springs offers a wide range of outdoor activities including hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. For these reasons, Palm Springs has long been the preferred desert retreat of Hollywood royalty, presidents, wellness seekers and sun-worshippers. The permanent year-round population is about 45,000; however, it doubles during the winter season.
