The Urban Terrace is a two-story modular home designed for urban infill. The modern design sets the home apart while the lap siding allows it to blend in traditional neighborhoods. This particular location is in the heart of Houston in a dynamically changing area. Unlike most homes built in this area, the plan preserves greenspace in the backyard and extends the living space through a large sliding glass door and patio. The clean modern design appeals to both young professionals and empty nesters alike. The open plan is achieved by an exposed steel beam, which enhances the design aesthetics. A variation on the plan allows the second floor modules to be set in two configurations, varying the location of the terrace from back to front, depending on the site.
