Project Statement

Vibrant, urban and just minutes from the CSU Northridge campus and adjacent to Northridge Fashion shopping center, Symmetry Apartments provides 429 luxury residences surrounded by shopping, dining and entertainment venues. The interiors are intended to epitomize the casually sophisticated Northridge lifestyle and to create a collection of boutique amenities that offer a dynamic urban retreat for the residents.

With so many large-scale retail and entertainment options in walking distance, the amenities at Symmetry were designed to feel intimate, casual, comfortable and residential. There is a bold and dynamic urban vibe that is echoed throughout all the spaces.

Bespoke marketing names were created for each of the amenity spaces:

• CoLab is the co-working space that features two private conference rooms and open seating. The interiors evoke a sophisticated library with wood paneling detail and shelving displaying a curated collection of books.
• Spirits and Screens is a social-inspired space with a lounge, multiple media screens, a chef inspired kitchen and indoor-outdoor seating.
• The Scene has multiple gaming options and is punctuated with a central bar, neon art and an intersecting walnut wood slat ceiling detail incorporating lighting.

Rounding out the amenities are the Wheelhouse bike shop, Curate a DIY workspace and state of the art fitness center.
