Project Statement
The Maren is a 13-story multifamily building with 10,000 square feet of ground-level retail located on the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C., just south of the Nationals baseball stadium, with unparalleled views and water access.
Units have upscale finishes such as Brizo plumbing fixtures with touch faucets, smart thermostats and LATCH unit smart locks. Common amenities include a roof deck with swimming pool, fitness center, lounge with fully equipped bar and, on the second level, a flexible workspace managed by MakeOffice.
The property also provides secure garage parking and a 6,500-square-foot, double-height event space adjacent to the ground-floor lobby. Residents also have direct access to the waterfront dining and drinking options of All-Purpose Pizzeria, The Salt Line and Dacha Beer Garden, located in a large public plaza with connection to the neighboring Dock 79.
Inspired by the project’s direct waterfront access and contribution to the riverfront as a destination with eclectic public realm, the design concept infuses refined, urban-organic elements with textures and boldness, to establish the project as a distinct and major player in the emergence of one of D.C.’s most exciting neighborhoods.
