Project Statement
The Residences at Career Gateway is an innovative workforce-housing concept that provides affordable living and seeks to connect residents and community members with meaningful workforce opportunities. The former site of a vacant elementary school, this project is the result of a partnership between The NRP Group, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Community Development for All People (CD4AP), an organization that offers family and job support services to the Columbus community. The Residences at Career Gateway is located in the southside neighborhood near Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which offers a job-training program at the community and has a track record of hiring in the area. The Residences at Career Gateway comprises 58 units of multifamily housing, and offers different product types, such as apartments and townhomes, that appeal to small and growing families. It also provides spaces dedicated to career training and support service that work to advance the mission of the project.
