The Home Builders Association of Fayetteville's (HBAF) Cooler of Cheer initiative is led by the Professional Women in Building of the Sandhills (PWBS) and was designed as a simple, low-cost fundraising program to maximize revenue through strong member engagement. Rather than depending on direct financial investment, the program relies on donated items to create high-value raffle packages that eliminate the need for upfront investment from HBAF and increased total revenue potential. The engaging raffle experience generated $8,800 in gross revenue, with 438 raffle tickets sold. It increased member involvement and provided an easy, accessible way for them to contribute.

With only $250 in expenses, this engaging fundraising effort generated $8,550 in total non-dues revenue for HBAF. The initiative successfully achieved its goal to increase non-dues revenue, engage members in a collaborative effort and implement a sustainable, easily replicable fundraising model for future efforts. The simplicity of the design allowed for efficient execution with minimal staff time and resources.
