The Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky's (BIANKY) Structured Networking program is a new take on traditional networking events by providing more clarity of purpose, meaningful outcomes for builders and curated relationship-building opportunities. The event is a roundtable format designed to solve real business challenges while creating meaningful connections between builders and association members. This initiative also aimed to address retention by strengthening early member engagement and creating a sustainable, repeatable engagement model. A multi-phase development process grounded in data and member feedback identified friction points in engagement, designed a solution-oriented program framework and implemented a targeted communication strategy to encourage participation.
The program was intentionally structured around builder needs, and operational challenges were submitted by builders in advance to ensure discussions focused on real-world issues. Builders gained peer insight, practical solutions and exposure to trusted service providers, while associates benefited by demonstrating their expertise and building credibility. Structured Networking demonstrated that networking is most effective when it is intentional, facilitated and outcome driven.
