Category: HBA Operations
Location: Austin, Texas
Size: State Association
Year: 2025
This project by the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) was a humanitarian effort directed toward supporting those who were impacted by the July 4, 2025, floods across Central Texas and the Hill Country. The efforts included financial and in-kind donations, collaboration between multiple local home builders associations to identify trusted nonprofits working with impacted families and mobilization of resources and supplies to assist with emergency relief. The initial focus was on rapid response, as staff coordinated the purchase and delivery of urgently requested supplies for affected communities and first responders. In addition, the Texas Builders Foundation provided $25,000 in donations for emergency recovery efforts.
Beyond an immediate disaster response, the project evolved into a collective statewide rebuilding effort that called on builders, local associations and charitable partners to ensure long-lasting community impact. More than $70,000 was raised and evenly distributed across several organizations to help them provide further direct assistance to individuals and families impacted by the flooding. This project demonstrated the residential construction industry's commitment to supporting and rebuilding local communities during times of crisis.
