The Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains (BABRM) has expanded the options for licensed contractors looking to participate in its continuing education program by offering accessible, in-person instruction that meets the statewide standards as an alternative to online courses. The full-day experience is designed to enhance member engagement and success and caters to participants who may prefer face-to-face learning or have limited access to technology. The in-person continuing education program offers relevant and practical courses that are aligned with leading industry needs, ensuring participants walk away with the required credits to maintain their North Carolina General Contractor license and can apply to their work with actionable knowledge.

In 2025, the program held four in-person sessions, hosting a total of 130 participants wanting to meet their 8-hour annual continuing education requirement. The BABRM continuing education program is the only one in the region offering in-person instruction, and its high attendance demonstrated a demand for face-to-face interaction that it was able to deliver for members of the local residential construction community. The program reinforced the value of membership and offered a unique opportunity for industry professionals to experience a comfortable learning environment while receiving high-quality instruction.
