The Madison Area Builders Association's (MABA) Resource Site has served as a key communication method to strengthen advocacy efforts and for establishing a central platform where members, prospective members and industry stakeholders can locate relevant housing and development information. By consolidating resources and materials, members are now able to efficiently and effectively catch up on the latest changes in municipal regulations, local housing permit data, interactive development maps and the 2025 MABA fee study to better understand the factors that go into housing costs.
The launch of the website itself was a large accomplishment, and the MABA has witnessed the tools and resources available be successfully adopted by members in navigating their municipal processes, understanding trends in local development and environmental advocacy efforts. This project has better equipped members for making more informed business decisions and getting involved in more local advocacy efforts in their communities, while signaling to policymakers insight into development activity and potential challenges in the residential construction industry.
