Each year, the Home Builders Association of Kentucky (HBAK) hosts the Kentucky Construction Career Choice Council (K4C) Career Days event, with more than 3,000 high school students in attendance. This hands-on, immersive experience allows students to explore a variety of construction trades by actively participating in tasks such as welding, bricklaying, carpentry and operating heavy equipment. With the support of more than 70 exhibitors, students also had the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and learn about potential career paths. Through this event, K4C has successfully raised awareness of construction career opportunities and inspired students to begin building the skills needed for a future in Kentucky’s construction industry.
