The Home Builders Association of Delaware (HBADE) hosted a Guest Bartender Fundraiser event to raise money for Contractors for a Cause (CFAC), a local nonprofit dedicated to providing essential home repairs and modifications for vulnerable community members, as well as scholarships for local students. With a creative and engaging concept, the event brought together local "celebrity bartenders" such as elected officials, business leaders and influencers, who poured drinks and mingled with guests at a popular Delaware beach venue. Promotion through custom social media graphics, QR-coded donations and strong community outreach helped build excitement for the event and ensured wide participation.
Originally aiming to raise $3,000, the fundraiser exceeded expectations by bringing in $5,000, which fully funded materials for three critical home repair projects and two student scholarships. Approximately 100 attendees filled the venue, which was generously donated along with bar tips and staff assistance. Additional revenue came from a 50/50 raffle and a prize raffle with items donated by members and bartenders. Beyond its financial success, the event strengthened community ties by increasing visibility, recruiting new volunteers and welcoming new HBADE members.
