The Northern Kentucky Housing Strategies Report, led by the Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky (BIANKY), is a groundbreaking initiative designed to address regional housing shortages through policy advocacy, regulatory reform and strategic collaboration. With Executive Vice President Brian Miller chairing the new development committee, BIANKY helped guide the development of 50 actionable strategies focused on increasing housing affordability, streamlining regulations and promoting industry-friendly legislation. The association played a central role in engaging elected officials, steering critical conversations and driving public-private partnerships to support sustainable housing growth.
As a result of these efforts, the initiative has significantly influenced regional housing policy. Local governments are reviewing and updating zoning, permitting and impact fee structures, while new relationships between home builders, community organizations and government entities are helping accelerate housing solutions. The report’s adoption into regional planning efforts, along with increased public awareness and support, highlights the project’s success in creating a unified, practical roadmap for future housing development in Northern Kentucky.
