The Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky (BIANKY)’s Covington Academy of Heritage Trades (CAHT) website was developed to support the Academy’s mission of preserving historic structures by training a new, diverse generation of skilled restoration tradespeople. Its goals were to recruit prospective students, engage the local community, provide resources to current learners and attract partnerships and funding. The website’s user-centric design, intuitive navigation and mobile responsiveness created a seamless and easy-to-use digital experience for users to explore programs and connect with CAHT’s initiatives in historic preservation.

The website has played a pivotal role in the Academy’s growth and impact. Since its launch, it has driven increased enrollment, fostered community partnerships and secured funding opportunities, such as a $15,000 grant for the restoration of a historic inn. With more than 17,000 page views and 4,600 new users in 2024 alone, HeritageTradesAcademy.com has become a dynamic and effective platform for outreach, education and workforce development. Its strategic design and measurable outcomes make it a standout project in promoting skilled trades and preserving architectural heritage.
