The Spring Town & Country New Home Tour is a free, scattered-site home show presented by the HBA of Fort Wayne. New construction entries (single-family, villa, or development) are open to builder members. The Town & Country New Home Tour has become a springtime tradition in Fort Wayne. Not only does the event provide current and future home owners in the area with relevant information and options for building a home that's perfect for them, but it also leaves visitors with plenty of ideas and great resources.
The Town & Country New Home Tour allows builders and associate members to introduce innovative options, cutting-edge technology, and trends to consumers. The HBA includes general membership information in its guidebooks to extend the publication's value as a recruitment resource. Event promotion has expanded to include a targeted, two-week schedule of radio/television advertising, robust guidebook distribution, and expanded social media coverage featuring each show home on social media.
In 2023, the Parade featured 44 new residential construction entries presented by 20 builder-member companies. The Parade exceeded the projected income of $74,700 with a gross revenue of $85,890. The HBA produced the guidebook in-house to cut expenses, leaving expenses at $39,598. The event's net profit was $46,292, making it the third highest-earning event in the past 15 years and more than doubling the highest profit since 2020.
