Cloverleaf AI is a video-based tool that scans footage of public meetings and alerts Indiana local HBAs of housing-related clips (e.g. impact fees, stormwater). The Indiana BA provides this benefit at no cost to members and local HBA staff so they can advocate on issues that impact housing. Initially, weekly customized reports from Cloverleaf provided links to watch and listen to video clips on housing-related discussions at government meetings in Indiana. Most recently, the BA worked with Cloverleaf to provide a second customized report each week that is specific to the Indiana local HBAs jurisdiction.

The association strives to make advocacy easy for local HBAs, but that’s increasingly difficult due to the barrage of government regulations impacting the housing industry. Through Cloverleaf, the state’s local HBAs can see and hear precisely what was said at government meetings on issues they care about, and they can act. Cloverleaf allows members to stay on the jobsite and our local HBA staff to plan association events and recruit members while keeping tabs on housing issues discussed in government meetings. With the click of a button, they can watch timestamped video clips on housing topics of their choosing. Members no longer have to spend time reading through vague meeting minutes posted to government websites weeks after the meetings to find out what’s coming.
