The TriStar Campaign was created by the HBA of Greater New Orleans to promote brand recognition and engender good will to consumers, partners and members.
First, the HBA identified municipal workers supporting the residential building industry and recognized them with a plaque and free tickets to the annual awards and installation banquet. The awards are now hanging in their offices promoting the HBA and recognizing these important winners.
Then, the association secured as many television and radio spots as possible. As part of the media campaign, the HBA secured a monthly three-minute spot on the local news to discuss homeownership and received a monthly ten-minute spot-on local radio to discuss housing. Additionally, the association secured two interviews on public access TV’s Affordable Housing Matters.
Lastly, the HBA partnered with the government to provide free consumer education to home owners. The full day education seminar was held at the local library. Vendors covered the cost of the event and refreshments.
Overall, the TriStar campaign heightened member engagement, allowing members to highlight people and create buzz, increasing event attendance.
