Metro BA of Greater Milwaukee members worked with area high schools to construct playhouses featured as a Miniature Parade of Play Homes at the HBA’s Home Building & Remodeling Show. The project brought awareness of high school trade programs and the HBA’s flagship event in a fun, interactive display. Five area high schools created 12 homes.

The purpose and goal of the project were to bring together supplier and builder members and raise awareness of the trades. High school students were also able to connect to builder members and the HBA was able to promote their Parade of Homes program to the community. The HBA secured a $8,000 sponsorship, allowing the sponsor to raise their visibility in the community and among members. Another first-time sponsor donated $500 worth of lumber starter kits, delivering them to high schools and visiting students there. Members also stepped up to donate time, trucks, and ideas.
