iFish Flagler is an in-shore fishing tournament open to the public where members and consumers get together on the common ground of fishing with cash prizes up to $5,000. The event engages the community with members while raising money for the association. In addition to the funds raised by the HBA, the association partners with the AdventHealth Foundation, which provides community breast cancer screenings and treatment.

The event is held in October during breast cancer awareness month and is the perfect opportunity to give back meaningfully. The HBA had 100 anglers on 36 boats on the water and donated over $2,000 to the AdventHealth Foundation, meeting the association’s goal. This innovative project included the public interacting with the building industry in a zero-pressure environment, enjoying a hobby that built relationships and made connections. It also exposed potential members to the HBA while giving directly back to the community.
