NAHB Launches Social Media Video Series: Safety Tip of the Week

NAHB has launched the Safety Tip of the Week, a video series featuring quick tips focused on one narrow aspect of residential construction jobsite safety.

Jobsite safety remains one of the top priorities of NAHB and state and local HBAs. The Safety Tip of the Week builds on the success of previous safety content, like the safety video toolbox talk series, in a format that has the best chance to reach the next generation of home builders.

The videos are shot and edited in a vertical format for use on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.

These platforms are filled with construction safety content already, but most is focused on pointing out egregious safety lapses or “OSHA violations” for humor. Very few social media videos show proper safety technique from a trained expert.

NAHB is once again working with safety consultant Matt Murphy, president of SEE, Inc., on the video project. Murphy has a long career in residential construction safety and has previously worked with NAHB on safety content.
