Chairman’s Update: Why You Should Attend NAHB’s Legislative Conference
NAHB’s Legislative Conference will take place Wednesday, June 10, during the 2026 Spring Leadership Meeting in Washington, D.C. This is NAHB’s premier advocacy of the event of the year, and more than 1,000 members are expected to visit their congressional members on Capitol Hill.
In his latest Chairman’s Update, 2026 NAHB Chairman Bill Owens highlights the messaging members will be focusing on for this year’s conference:
- Advancing comprehensive housing legislation,
- Promoting workforce development and immigration reform, and
- Addressing permitting challenges and onerous building codes.
This year, NAHB will also be hosting cabinet officials and agency leaders on Thursday, June 11, for additional discussions on key housing issues.
