2025 IBS Sustainability & Green Building Scholarship Application Now Open
The NAHB IBS Sustainability and Green Building Scholarship aims to provide emerging green builders exposure to the world of high-performance homes and help them to jump-start their professional journey by attending the International Builders’ Show (IBS).
The scholarship is available to young professionals and/or emerging green builders between the ages of 25 and 35 to attend the 2025 IBS in Las Vegas, Feb. 25-27. Scholarship recipients will receive $1,800 for travel expenses and full registration to maximize their experience, with access to numerous networking events, education sessions and opportunities to see the latest products in the industry.
Last year's scholarship recipient was Melanie Leas Von Eschen, manager of Town of Breckenridge Construction, who has cited how beneficial the scholarship has been.
“Being [the 2023] scholarship recipient gave me the incredible opportunity to attend the IBS, which is widely regarded as one of the top events for the building and development industry in the country,” said Eschen. “This experience allowed me to connect with key industry leaders, particularly in the areas of sustainability and alternative construction methods. These insights have provided me with a competitive advantage, as I’m now more aware of the latest trends and innovations shaping the future of the building industry.”
Interested applicants can apply online. A resume and cover letter are also required. Applications are due Nov. 18.
