Podcast: NAHB Highlights Advocacy Victories and Prospects for 2024
In the latest episode of NAHB’s podcast, Housing Developments, hosts CEO Jim Tobin and COO Paul Lopez welcome Chief Lobbyist Lake Coulson to the program to discuss key housing issues on Capitol Hill.
Coulson explains the importance of and process behind some recent wins, including continued Job Corps funding and action on the transformer shortage. He also discusses some of the outstanding issues facing the residential construction industry and the prospects for movement in a deeply divided Congress.
To help get the message out on key issues, Coulson encourages NAHB members traveling to Washington, D.C., for the Spring Leadership Meeting to begin preparations to participate in the Legislative Conference, a day of mass lobbying action on June 12, where hundreds of members will meet with their representatives and senators.
