Home builders associations (HBAs) across the United States are raising funds for BUILD-PAC, NAHB’s bipartisan political arm, during its 2025-26 cycle. BUILD-PAC supports the election of pro-housing and pro-building candidates for federal office.

These two recent HBA events raised more than $140,000.

In July, 138 golfers gathered for the 22nd annual Fiano Family Golf Classic at the TPC River Highlands course. The course was home to several professional golf standouts such as Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy just a few weeks prior for the Travelers Championship.

The event raised a record $110,000, including $10,000 in new contributions.

“This was our most successful year yet, and earning Connecticut ‘Champion’ status again with NAHB is proof of the commitment our members have to the cause,” said BUILD-PAC Trustee Ken Boynton.

“BUILD-PAC ensures the housing industry's voice is heard in Washington and gives us the access we need to advocate for sound housing policy,” Boynton added.

Also in July, the Rhode Island Builders Association hosted a cocktail reception with live music at the Deepwell Manor historic estate in Wakefield, R.I. Key attendees included NAHB Chairman Buddy Hughes, NAHB CEO Jim Tobin and NAHB Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs Heather Voorman.

“It was wonderfully well-attended event, and a real privilege for me to host local and national key players,” said Rhode Island BUILD-PAC Trustee Roland Fiore.

The event raised more than $25,000.

“I think it’s important to set an example for the younger members coming up how important it is to have a good relationship on both the local and federal level,” said Fiore. “It matters in Washington, D.C., that all the associations work closer and coordinate with national, who is always there when we need them.”
