Finalists Announced for the 2023 The Nationals Awards

NAHB announced the Silver Winners, or finalists, for The Nationals, presenting the National Sales and Marketing Awards, Best of 55+ Housing Awards, Global Innovation Awards and NAHB Honors. Gold Winners will be announced at The Nationals Awards Ceremony, sponsored by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, which will take place Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 5 p.m. at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas during the 2024 International Builders’ Show.

The awards recognize outstanding residential real estate sales, marketing and design, 55+ housing projects, individual achievement and global excellence.

Mortgage Rates Declined Despite Higher Treasury Yields

Long-term mortgage rates continued to decline in January. According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.10% last month, 9 basis points (bps) lower than December. Meanwhile, the 15-year rate declined 4 bps to 5.44%. Compared to a year ago, the 30-year rate is lower by 86 bps. The 15-year rate is also lower by 72 bps.
