NAHB Kicks Off Careers in Construction Month
NAHB is celebrating Careers in Construction Month to raise awareness of the many rewarding opportunities available in the high-demand construction industry.
The slate of October events focuses on mentorship, student chapter engagement and community service. It will also include spotlighting the educators who are inspiring the next generation.
Careers in Construction Month events include:
Oct. 2-6: Engage With Boys & Girls Clubs
Make a connection with your local club and coordinate a home building skills event.
Oct. 9: Construction Educator Day
Celebrate an educator by sharing social media posts using hashtags #CEDay and #CareersinConstruction.
Oct. 9-13: Student Chapter Engagement
Student chapters are encouraged to hold chapter club meetings and tag NAHB on social. HBAs can reach out to student chapters and provide help.
Oct. 16-20: Young Professionals Week
YP Week focuses on mentorship, community involvement and professional development. More details here.
Oct. 20: Careers in Construction Day
Student chapters, HBAs and members will organize community service build projects or other activities celebrating construction professionals.
Oct. 23-27: Celebrate Residential Construction
Share how you celebrated the construction industry this month by tagging @NAHB and @NAHBStudents. Use hashtags #CareersinConstruction and #CICM2023.
