Join HBI Table Talk for Insights on Future of Labor Market
The Home Builders Institute (HBI) is hosting a virtual table talk on workforce development in the skilled trades on Oct. 19 from 12 2 p.m. ET. Featured speakers include:
- Dr. Robert Dietz, NAHB chief economist, will discuss new economic data from HBI’s Fall Construction Labor Market Report.
- Representatives from Florida and Colorado will discuss their experience using HBI’s Future Builders of America (FBA) Program and how HBI is working with industry and other stakeholders to create construction career opportunities for secondary school students and other community members.
The FBA Program is a newly launched initiative that provides a curriculum for teaching students about the skilled trades and how to prepare for a career in construction. The program is designed to help address the labor shortage crisis in the construction industry.
All members of the building industry are encouraged to attend this important event. Workforce development remains a critical issue for the building industry, and we must work together to find solutions to the labor shortage crisis.
The virtual table talk is free to attend, but registration is required. You will receive the link to join the event after you register.
If you have any questions about the event or issues with registration, please contact HBI’s Paula Morris.
