Conducting meetings with your builder participants is an important way to keep the lines of communication open and to ensure your builders understand their responsibilities. You can also use these meetings to discuss best practices and to facilitate discussion among the builders about their previous experiences.

Include the dates of mandatory meetings in your builder contract to help ensure that parade participants will attend. Some HBAs offer discounts to builders who attend a certain number of meetings. (Refunds given after event.) Or, you can deduct a penalty fee from the deposit if a builder does not attend mandatory meetings.
