Multifamily Leadership Board

The NAHB Multifamily Leadership Board (MLB) comprises a select and limited number of top multifamily housing executives and firms that are the driving force behind the development of multifamily housing in the United States. MLB membership currently includes more than 30 leading multifamily developer and owner firms, and roughly 60 individual members. Each member firm includes two individual members and one designated alternate. The MLB is also supported by a select group of 16 sponsoring firms, including leading design and real estate firms and top building supply companies.

Members meet privately twice a year to participate in high-level, interactive forums and exclusive networking events. The MLB also meets virtually throughout the year, providing a forum for members to network, learn and get direct access to NAHB’s leadership team in Washington, D.C., and to capitalize on NAHB’s ability to bring its weight to bear on critical industry issues. NAHB’s CEO and Chief Economist are regular presenters at these meetings.

Members also receive the monthly MLB Executive Briefing, an online newsletter that provides updates on current multifamily industry trends and recent NAHB activities.

Background and Goals

The MLB was formed in 2002 to provide a more intimate learning and networking experience than other multifamily housing events or organizations, affording members the opportunity to:

  • Connect, exchange and discuss key multifamily industry-related issues and challenges in an open, honest and confidential manner with an elite group of peers.
  • Create and solidify lasting relationships with other top leaders impacting the multifamily industry.
  • Gain valuable insight and have meaningful input into the economic and political issues driving or affecting the industry.
  • Enjoy participating in social and recreational activities with other members in world class locations and venues.
