H. Daniel “Danny” Pincus served as 1997 president of NAHB. He is a home builder from Toms River, N.J., and Hilton Head, S.C. Pincus is the owner of HDP Industries, a building and development company formed in 1983 that constructs active adult retirement communities, commercial shopping centers and single-family subdivisions.
He is a life director of the New Jersey Shore Builders Association and has held most elected offices in the association. Pincus also held all elected and many appointed leadership positions at the New Jersey Builders Association, including a term as president in 1985-86. He also serves as a director of the Hilton Head Home Builders Association and the Home Builders Association of Low Country in Beaufort, S.C.
Pincus served as the NAHB Area II national vice president, the New Jersey national representative and is a national life director. In 1997, Pincus was appointed to serve as a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta.
