Charles J. Ruma

Charles J. Ruma served as NAHB president in 1999. Ruma is a home builder from Columbus, Ohio, and President and CEO of Davidson Phillips, Inc., one of the largest home building and land development companies in central Ohio. He served as the President of the Building Industry Association of Central Ohio in 1974 and was its Builder of the Year in 1992. Ruma was President of the Ohio Home Builders Association in 1986 and was Ohio’s national representative for NAHB in 1988 and 1989 and served as the Area 6 national vice president in 1992 and 1993.
