Harry A. Pryde served as NAHB president in 1983. A builder-developer from Seattle, Wash., Pryde served as president of the Seattle Master Builders Association and the Washington State Home Builders Association. He is a life director of the NAHB Board of Directors, which he served on for 18 years, and also served for two years as a national vice president. Pryde was a member of the board of trustees for the Washington State International Trade Commission and the Chamber of Commerce. He created the Monetary Policy Forum, a watchdog panel of business leaders, economists and top-level financial analysts charged with overseeing the policies of the Federal Reserve Board.
