Frederick J. Napolitano served as president of NAHB in 1982. A builder-developer from Virginia Beach, Va., he founded, and is president of, Napolitano Enterprises. Napolitano is the past president of both the Tidewater Builders Association and the Virginia Home Builders Association. He has been honored as “Builder of the Year” by both associations and received a Distinguished Service Award from the Tidewater HBA in 1975. Napolitano served as an NAHB national vice president and a member of the executive committee and is a life director of NAHB. He has also been president of the Virginia Beach Chamber of Commerce and of the local chapter of the American Cancer Society. Napolitano was a founding father of the Big Brothers of Virginia Beach.
