David C. Smith

David C. Smith served as NAHB president in 1986. As president of David C. Smith, Inc., in McDowell, Va., Smith builds residential and commercial properties in Maryland and Virginia. Smith was president of the Frederick County Home Builders Association, the Home Builders Association of Suburban Maryland, the State of Maryland Institute of Home Builders and the Metropolitan Washington Builders Council. He also served as an NAHB national vice president and a national representative for the state of Maryland. Smith is a public interest director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta.
