Vondal S. Gravlee

Vondal S. Gravlee served as NAHB president in 1979. A Birmingham builder and civic leader, Gravlee is president of Gravlee Homes, Inc. Gravlee has served as an NAHB national vice president, executive committee member, life member of the NAHB Board of Directors, and chairman of the National Housing Center Trustees. He also was the president of the home builder associations of Alabama and Birmingham and was honored as the “Builder of the Year” by the Birmingham HBA. Gravlee served as chairman of Vestavia Hills planning and zoning Board, a member of the executive committee and board of the American Educators Life Insurance Co., and chairman of the board of First National Bank of Shelby.
