John A. Stastny, a third-generation Chicago-area home builder, served as the 1971 NAHB president. Stastny was active in inner-city development and serve as chairman and chief executive officer of Care Center Professional. He also served six terms as chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.
