George Clarke Martin served as the 1973 NAHB president. Martin was president of the home builders associations in Lexington and Louisville and the state of Kentucky. He earned national recognition as founder of the Home Owners Warranty Corp., which provided a 10-year protection plan for home buyers in 46 states.
