Lloyd E. Clarke

Lloyd E. Clarke served as NAHB president in 1968, when he was 39 years old. He is president and chief executive of the Alodex Corp. in Memphis, Tenn. Clarke previously was president of the Clarke Corp. in Des Moines, Iowa. He was an NAHB regional vice president from the Central Midwest and was named outstanding regional vice president in 1960. Clarke was a national director of NAHB for 10 years. In 1965 he was elected to the Young Presidents of America, an organization of the presidents of corporations doing at least $1 million in business annually with 100 or more employees.
