Rodney M. Lockwood served as NAHB President in 1949. He was a Detroit home builder and lawyer who developed a series of comprehensive reports which resulted in the correction of many government practices and regulations that impeded construction. He also was a member of the President’s Advisory Committee on Housing Policies and Programs.
