Who Are NAHB's Associate Members in 2021?

This article updates previous studies with results from the 2020 annual census on the characteristics of NAHB's Associate members. Associate members are involved in a wide range of support industries and professions including, among others, trade contractors, manufacturers, retailers/distributors, designers, and architects.

Government Regulation in the Price of a New Home: 2021

This study highlights the estimated cost of regulations within the price of a new single-family home. For an average new home (currently priced at $394,300), regulation accounts for $93,870 of the final house price. This study further examines costs during and after development, trends in cost fluctuation during the past decade, and survey responses from builders and developers.

Who are NAHB's Builder Members in 2021?

This article presents results from the latest census of NAHB builder members conducted at the end of 2020. The results show the typical home building business of an NAHB builder member had a median gross revenue of $2.6 million in 2020, with five housing starts and five payroll employees.
