Speaker Directory Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information.
- Have relevant experience or expertise in your stated speaking topics.
2. Submission and Approval
- All submissions are subject to review and approval by NAHB.
- Listing in the Directory does not guarantee speaking engagements.
- NAHB reserves the right to reject or remove any listing at its sole discretion.
3. Speaker Responsibilities
- You agree to maintain the accuracy of your profile and promptly update any changes.
- You are responsible for negotiating the terms of your speaking engagement agreement.NAHB is not a party to such agreements and assumes no liability or responsibility for any terms, conditions, or outcomes arising from those engagements or agreements.
- You are responsible for your conduct and content during any speaking engagements.
- You must not use the Directory for unlawful, misleading, or unethical purposes.
4. Use of Information
- By submitting your profile, you grant NAHB the right to publish and share your information in the Directory and related promotional materials.
- You retain ownership of your content but grant NAHB a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for Directory purposes.
5. No Endorsement or Guarantee
- Listing in the Directory does not constitute endorsement by NAHB.
- NAHB does not guarantee any speaking opportunities or compensation.
6. Privacy
- Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be found on our website (Privacy Policy).
- You may request removal from the Directory at any time by contacting Caroline Fabacher.
7. Limitation of Liability
- NAHB is not liable for any damages arising from your participation in the Directory or any speaking engagements.
8. Termination
- You may request removal from the Directory at any time.
- NAHB may remove your listing without notice for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
9. Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia.
