Committee Overview
The State and Local Government Affairs Committee takes an active interest in the actions of state and local governing bodies that have an effect on home building. The committee guides the work of NAHB’s State and Local Government Affairs department and helps it create State and Local Advocacy resources for home builders associations (HBAs) and members.
The committee also administers the State and Local Issues Fund (SLIF), which provides financial assistance to HBAs involved in advocacy efforts on issues affecting the affordability of homeownership.
