Whether you are just starting out in the remodeling industry or a seasoned veteran, there are names that are heard time and time again as the source of inspiration and leadership through the history of the remodeling industry. With each induction into the National Remodeling Hall of Fame, the bar is raised. The following are the inductees to the National Remodeling Hall of Fame from 2001 to the present.

Class of 2025

Tom Ashley

Ashley is President of Expand, Inc. in Denham Springs, La. He’s a nationally recognized remodeling industry leader, advocate and innovator with a career spanning more than two decades. Ashley holds three of NAHB's most respected designations—Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) and Certified Green Professional (CGP)—and helped expand their reach as Chair of the NAHB CAPS and CGR Boards of Governors and the NAHB CAPS Impact Group from 2022 to 2025.

As the NAHB Remodelers Council Chair during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, he addressed Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell to advocate for remodelers and small businesses nationwide. Ashley has also represented NAHB at Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Small Business Administration (SBA) meetings. His national honors include the 2014 NAHBR Chairman's Award, 2016 NAHB CAPS Designee of the Year and Qualified Remodeler's 2018 National Remodeler of the Year.

At the local and state levels, he served on the HBA of Greater Baton Rouge’s Board from 2008 to 2018 including as President and Chair. Ashley has also chaired nearly every major Louisiana HBA committee—twice leading its Remodelers Council. Additionally, he was named LHBA Remodeler of the Year in 2008 and 2018 and received the Mike Penn Award in 2017.

Ashley’s dedication to community and remodeling is prevalent in his work, having organized accessible renovations for veterans and children with special needs. His legacy is one of professionalism, advocacy and service to the remodeling industry.
