Thompson Stanley Thompson has established a distinguished career in the Multifamily Housing Industry, with a remarkable journey spanning over two decades. His professional odyssey commenced in 2000 as a Part Leasing Consultant, where his commitment and passion for the field shone brightly. Over the years, he ascended the ranks, eventually attaining the role of Assistant Property Manager.

In 2003, Stanley expanded his horizons by embracing a contracted Compliance Auditor position, a role he expertly carried out until 2006, during which he proudly earned his HCCP certification. A brief hiatus from auditing allowed him to focus on the successful Lease Up of a newly developed Bond-financed property.

Yet, it’s noteworthy that even during his compliance role, Stanley assumed managerial responsibilities from around 2007 onwards, showcasing his versatility and ability to juggle multiple roles. His managerial prowess didn’t go unnoticed.

In 2019, he accepted a pivotal role as a Compliance Officer with a growing Property Management company in the Greater Richmond area, further solidifying his stature in the industry. His enduring commitment to excellence was evident.

August 2020 marked a significant milestone when Stanley took on the esteemed position of Compliance Manager with Grady Management Inc. for Southern Virginia. His dedication and relentless pursuit of knowledge culminated in the acquisition of his CPO certification in April 2021, underscoring his professional credentials.

In June 2021, Stan transitioned to the vibrant city of Richmond, where he skillfully managed a LIHTC high-rise community while still being actively involved in compliance work. His ability to seamlessly balance managerial and compliance roles demonstrated his adaptability and leadership skills.

Now, in October 2023, Stanley embarks on an exciting new chapter with the Better Housing Coalition, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Greater Richmond area. His unwavering commitment and anticipation to continue making a significant impact in the industry for at least another two decades is a testament to his dedication and passion for multifamily housing.
